Unfortunately the mechanism has worn out the star shaped insert on the bottom of the blender blade is stripped and the blenders performance has deteriorated

The first time i put the jar on the blender it rocked so i held onto to it and carefully pushed the on button

The blender sensed that the jar was not on correctly so it turned it so that it fit tightly on the base of the unit

There is a lot of power in this unit so the one drawback is that it is noisy

My dad actually suggested i get this due to it having a glass jar after having used this for a bit i can say that while it does work well and it does have a glass jar its not a cuisinart
