It happens mostly when i go to recharge. Just pops in and works.

The foam is too rigid to form-fit properly because of this. It smells so bad it gets into the oculus and you need to air it out.
No instructions given on the packaging. Terrible fit for quest 2. Chucked it to the side immediately and called it a lesson learned.

I put the softer side against the lenses and the straight side goes up and the ridge side goes down

The other thing to keep in mind is that when you take off your headset it turns off automatically
