When i ordered this blade they never said it was hard plastic i was expecting a metal blade i think it is over priced and doesnt seem to be coming directly from kitchen aid either mines came in a bubble lined envelope

This beater is lighter than a kitchenaid beater because it is made of hard plastic rather than metal
