Pros
Slight cosmetic damage to edges during shipping. Firmness somewhere between vinyl flooring and carpet. Great for back pain relief.
Outstanding product, quality craftsmanship. It's solidly made, classy and elegant.
The smell of rice straw is sublime. Comfortable and this mat is big enough to do yoga on as well.
These are not great, but acceptable/serviceable tatami mats. At $179, this cheaper version is not a bad substitute. These are very reasonably priced as well.
Cons
These come reeking of and infested with mold. Lbs is way too heavy. Trying to coordinate a return with a massive, bulky item, is more of a headache than its worth.

The packaging was exceptional double boxed protecting the mat extremely well
We use bedding sheets and pillows to cover the gaps
I could not see where it is made on the packaging i presume taiwan or mainland china
Though outside packaging looked like it took a mild beating

The tatami bed is much firmer and comfortable than any matress we could find on the market
Prosabsolutely gorgeous highquality materials and an even color
Keep in mind these are heavy mats coming in at about 50lbs
