Highly regrettable purchase from the brand orico. There was no refund policy for the product. But warranty not support.

Firmware upgrades will improve the stability and compatibility and sometimes even performance of the enclosure with various nvme ssds
1tb ssd nvme m2 crusal p5 plus working well but over heating i think its blast
Stability wise i didnt notice any issues with the stock or upgraded firmware on this enclosure
2 form factor ssdsspeed is not the best but is not terrible either
Packaging/appearance
Orico bundled a usba to usbc and a usbc to usbc cable in the package along with a small screwdriver

Also seq1mq1t1 mixed readwrite together speeds are 200250 mbs slower when compared to the jms583 a3 based enclosure

On oricos product page the orico tcm2c3 enclosure is advertised as coming with a jmircron jms583 chip but orcio seems to have switched to realtek rtl9210bcg chips now

My unit came with a rtl9210bcg usb nvme bridge controller and a puya flash chip

The presence of the flash chip means that you can dump and upgrade the firmware of the nvme enclosure and my unit came with firmware version 1

I wasnt able to dump the firmware but was able to upgrade it to version 1

However if you only want to flash the official firmware you can download it from oricos china website and its version 1

Performance wise its pretty comparable to another jms583 a3 revision based enclosure i purchased recently but this one gets hotter due to the outer plastic shell
