Out of the box, drop in 5 formatted drives- its rocking. As an external hdd case it allows me to swap all 5 drives over to another machine in seconds. It has a connector i've never seen before.

This is great for older odd sized drives that still work. It saves power, noise, and heat. It also prolongs the lifespan of your hard drives.

The dealbreaker unreliability. Do not purchase this faulty unit. In fairness, that's about average for amazon canada anyway, so no surprise there.

There are no airflow at all for the drives when pocketed into the slots. It seems to go down to 0mbps often then shoot up to 8mbps. I figure the controller inside or something doesn't have the capacity to run data on that line. Tell it to disconnect.

The index was wiped on both wd 8tb and wd 4tb hard drives. Later on bay 2 also didn't recognize the disk as well. Attempting to recover the data now. Wd.
