Where i have to put this it's in a spot that is a pain to reach to hit the dip switch to turn it on, wished it turned itself on when pc was turned on then the product would be 100%.

It's probably windows fault, but if you get an error safely ejecting the device despite closing everything you may just need to kill the explorer.

Exe process and then run it again from task manager, afterwards you should be able to eject the drive.
