    Plugged the hard drive into this unit - like a giant usb drive and bob’s your uncle - opened the database and printed it out.

    It's probably windows fault, but if you get an error safely ejecting the device despite closing everything you may just need to kill the explorer.

    Exe process and then run it again from task manager, afterwards you should be able to eject the drive.

    Just pop a sata drive in, copy the files over.

    Go to the other pc (which also has one of these) insert the drive and copy the data.
