This thing is sturdy. Sturdy dense material. The drive bay covers feel a little flimsy, but they have not caused much concern when opening and closing them. Currently i have only 3 drives in it stays around 40°c for each drive.
Orico's device is straight-forward to use.
Cons
The only way to bring it back up is to physically reboot the enclosure. It randomly ejects drives and powers off after a few minutes, and there appears to be no way to get it to stay powered up. They just slide in then you close the slot cover that ac... Read More
This enclosure is less than worthless for backups. The irritating jmicron chipset overrides all the drive serial numbers with a single number. This makes it useless for server oses that use serial numbers.

Im personally using it for my hyper backup destination for my synology nas
This is the second orico product may first being a 2 bay set up as a raid
It has its little quirks to it but saving close to 100 compared to competitive devices is a decent trade off in my opinion

In order to put these devices in raid you need to grab some special software from oricos website and its not totally obvious which raid software youre looking for

Just randomly windows decides it needs to do a device check and it causes the drives to spin up
