Most usb items are enclosures so it was really interesting to see one that could do raid5. It's like 60-90 seconds per port to scan the drive, and once all drives are scanned then they'll finally show up.

Speed is what you would expect from a usb3 connected device and obviously depends on how fast a drive you put in the slot
The two orico units will look good stacked on top of each other
Im using several other orico enclosures without issue besides the extended boot times in latter products

Also it is a bit on the slow side for usb3 regardless of raid level setting as mentioned by another reviewer

I was not able to get ms windows 10 to mirror the drives as each is looked at being standalone

I ended up making a diy bay for my external drives to have everything all in one place but that still didn’t resolve the plugs and usb wires all over the place
