Pros & Cons
Pros
Included in the box were the date and atomic time, as well as moon phases. Almost everything was included for mounting. I am absolutely * smacked and relieved that this company has seen fit to fix the problem this way.
Run usb cable horizontally from the top of the recieving panel at least a foot before dropping verticle to reduce any potential rfi from the cable. I wound up placing it on my roof, about 15 feet from the main unit, and that solved the problem. These ... Read More
The battery replacement for the temp sensor takes about 30 seconds. This was probably done to conserve battery usage. Lithium batteries for all outdoor sensors.
Cons
Even the dedicated outside thermometer no longer shows up. The anemometer drops off after an hour or so and if i do nothing, the rest of the sensors drop off too. The rain gauge is now not working without a reset every couple of days. The humidity sen... Read More
Interacting with the unit is also clunkier than my old station. There may be many units out there which have been operating flawlessly for longer than mine. Ended up returning the unit within the 30 day unconditional satisfaction guaranty period.

The setup seems more of a toy than a professional setup.
The cumulus site says it'll work, though sounds like it may not be the ideal source. I was totally dissatisfied.

Great item - perfect packed - thanks aaa+++
Competitiveness
I compared to another rain gauge, and it was very accurate, as well as correlating well in both temperature and humidity.
I figured that by going with the best dealer, it could head off some of the problems other viewers had, and i think i was right.

The davis is more accurate and it should be for the 500 it would take to put its data on the internet
