Pros
It has a passable, slightly salty taste with no sweetness at all. Only downside is no flavor. Add lemon, lime, or mint leaves.
This could be used as the base of a sports drink. My daughter has trouble getting hydrated because of a rare digestive condition. Went to kenya and helped with dehydration on the 14 hour flight. They really work for preventing hangovers!
