Alkalines are ok but you are wasting your money time and creating hazardous waste

I like the brush but have to replace it every 6 months as the battery compartment gets wet and everything rusts then the springs fall out and the batteries have no connection

The oring is not sufficient to keep out the moisture in that compartment
