Theres a clear failure point in the connecting gears between the base and the heating unit all of which are made from plastic

This heater works well but it makes really loud screeching noise when it oscillates

I thought well that 1 was just defective took it back to the lowes we got it fro m exchanged it for another it lasted about a month then like its predecessor dead as a doornail
