I often find that the sensitivity of the mouse is suddenly reduced drastically seemingly at random making it difficult to move across the screen until it resumes normal function which can sometimes be induced by pressing the buttons and shaking the thing like a madman

To use it as a mouse you turn and point the left end of the remote to the usb receiver presumably near your screen and wave the mouse pointer around the screen and leftright click using the buttons in the center of the remote control
