    Usb4 thunderbolt compatibility mode works too but not all usb4 hosts support it

    All thunderbolt 4 hosts will work with this cable so long as both sides are powered since thunderbolt 4 is usb4 with guaranteed thunderbolt 3 compatibility mode and some other upgrades

    You really shouldnt have any issues with everything else unless you are using several gbps for storage networking or something else

    I wouldnt say it is hot enough to hurt you but it is definitely more than just warm and that could be a bit concerning

    I am really pushing my cable to the max though so if you dont push it as hard it might run cooler
