The switch does not always align smoothly to the port in the 2nd slot but not a major problem since digital optical audio produces a colored red light path that gives you some indication of where the lights is directed

If they would make the end smaller i would give it five stars however its not compatible with most sound bars without breaking that piece off

I like the fact that the dial requires the user to push in the top button to move it and the button pops back out when the dial is in the correct position

We used to have to switch the optical audio cable between the systems which was a pain as it has to be inserted in the rear of the xbox or playstation and the sound system

I would suggest to press the button fully then align to your selection and slowly let the button out

I dont know how the connection works inside but if it uses fiberoptic connections then you would not want to scratch those by a poor line up or moving while button not pressed
