Pros

Opinel brand comes with great quality for a somewhat decent price. The go to mushroom foraging knife.

Perfect crease is ideal for comfort harvesting of the mushrooms. Comes in handy for brushing off the bugs from the mushroom. The brush ends feels durable.

Its a well made, craftsman knife with a sturdy brush and sharp. It's very easy to sharpen, if you can be consistent. The brush is coarse enough to effectively remove debris.

Makes for a great gift for a new or experienced forager. Chanterelle is as much an french legend as the culinary arts it helps deliver.

Cons

It's like buying a coo-coo clock & expecting it to keep good time. Not the best problem solving skills in assisting a dissatisfied customer. It resists opening and is very tight so it only opens in small increments.

The box this comes in is enough of a gift box and the quality of the handle is great grain looks decent and blade fits square

Wrapped it in brown paper the reaction i saw was priceless

The packaging was pretty banged up so i’m glad it was for me and not a gift but overall great product

Doesnt come razor sharp but a few passes over a ceramic stone got it there
