If you are an ice snob, this is worth the price and the effort. The ice is fabulous. It keeps the coils much cooler to facilitate the cooling of the freon.

Opal extra reservoir side tank and disposable water inlet filters. For my household the extra water tank lets me run the ice maker for as long as a week without needing to refill.

No replacement, no refund, no apology. Replacement units are refurbished and don't always work. After the second machine your warranty ends.

Told me to turn off the machine, vacuum the grate to remove lint. Metal debris screen always pops out when filling the reservoir.

Faulty units in a row to the customer denotes a quality issue. Tried trouble shooting it, downloaded the app, and re-cleaning with no success. After assessing the opal based on your description and the troubleshooting, the unit is unrepairable.
