Pros
The zeiss lenscap fits over a lens hood that doesn't have a lens cap. Perfect for leica q2 lens with hood on. Fits per perfect on nikon 18-55 cheap kit lens. Comes in small and large sizes for leica and zeiss lenses.
Cons
Putting it on is a two hand, fussy operation, making it not very practical. They work great on old school smaller lenses, but on large lenses they pop off again and again at the slightest brush. They also have no tether connector.

As with the other optechs products i have the quality is outstanding
This product works perfect for protecting my olympus epl 5 with underwater housing and attached macro lens
In the case of my minolta 2870mm lens its probably not even a good idea with the hood installed
This is not a problem with the hood hat its just a really horked up minolta design
Shipping
The good part is that after a few times you can do that just as fast as putting on a plastic cover

If you by chance have this lens wout the hood then the l or xl might be what you need as this wont fit the main lens body overall its about an inch too large for that

The original plastic cap for the scope was easy to loose

It is a snag fit on the hood or even without hood making the scope much shorter if desired

Even with the hood reversed theres enough flex to stretch over the securing knob on the hood
