Pros & Cons
Pros
It's real tight and comfy in there and protected by the urethane. It’s a no brainer purchase. Op/tech products never disappoint.
The 253 pouch's top fit snugly over lens with the backward lens hood attach. Perfect fit for panasonic 35-100 f4-5. Fits canon ef-m 22mm f/2 stm lens. Even the 50mm prime with inverted hood fits perfectly. Works brilliantly for fuji 18-55 and rokinon ... Read More
Op/tech usa 7801042 fold-over pouch is a perfect fit for these. The fact the the cap is sewn on is key! Length including the backing cap.
The material is the same as your typical neoprene bottle sleeve, perhaps a tiny bit thicker. This is perfect for protection and i can just toss the lenses in a purse or tote bag without worries. Easy to open and pull lens out.
The 35 series is great for modern lenses. Used on my 17mm, 25mm and 45mm olympus lens. Will be ordering more for my micro 4/3 lenses. Perfect for small fixed focal length lenses and teleconverters.

This works perfectly for adding a bit of padding to the lens when packed in my camera bag
Competitiveness
It fits perfectly and is far better than the small bag that nikon sent with it
Its more expensive than the other lens pouches that come with 4 different sizes for the same or even lower price

Issue with neoprene pouches is they work well if they are really made to the lens dimensions it is supposed to protect so a standard size does not fill all lenses of 34similar34 sizes

I needed pouches that would not be too bulky hard to open in the dark or likely to fall apart

All seem to be too large for the fuji 35mm f2 but thats usually the lens that stays on my camera when packed away

No wasted space in my bag and no zippers to scratch lenses

The neoprene isnt going to provide a tremendous amount of protection but thats why you use pelican cases when needed
