I got tired of replacing plastic trays as they get holes in them easily and its hard to release the ice

The worst issue in using them so far is there is a siding bar that rests on top the thin part of the longitudinal plates and that can slip down and rest on the side of those plates this will cause the tray to bind up

They are awesome just wet the bottom sides with h20 first before trying release them

Sometimes the pieces attached to the lever that separate the ice gets dislodged

When frozen i could not even pull up the lever to release the ice and when my husband tried the whole tray of ice released and shattered into pieces all over the counter and floor
