Pros

Not too bulky for fishing. The jacket is lighter than my previous one. If you get in your mind there will be some bulkiness while wearing a pfd, this one is not bad at all.

Thirdly, it works. Well made for the price. Nrs makes a great fishing pfd, but the price point and options that the onyx offered made me go that route. This life jacket is an upgrade for me.

This vest adds a nice safety measure of bouyancy without all the bulk and restriction of a full life vest. It doesn't feel cumbersome like the generic ones. The vest has large arm openings to allow for comfortable paddling.

Cons

This life jacket lacks that part. The only fastener is a zip which is not advisable to lift a person from - even a kayak spill. Because i wear it kayaking, it needs to at least be zipped slightly.
