Pros

Gopher suction cups grip more securely than simpler reaching tools.

Cons

Two good ones from 10 years ago and one had the manufacturer - arcmate - molded into the handle. The ones being sold today, 10 years later, are very cheap & flimsy counterfeits. This makes the gopher difficult to use.

It's difficult to pick up objects that are too big, too heavy, or too flat or too oddly shaped. If you plan on picking up paper item mailers from grocery stores, this is product for you!

The edges were never ground after shearing. The hinge in the shaft is flimsy and tends to wobble. The plastic inserts in the suction cups are weak.
