Pros

Upgrade the sheath. Sheath is well thought out with both molle and belt attachments. Only down side is the coating prevents using the spine to throw a good spark off a ferro rod.

This knife is incredible. Great knife for the price. Highly recommended. Bought after watching creek stewart in fat guys in the woods series.

Stainless steel is a good comprise between durability and hardness. Provides a fair amount of rust resistance. Fits my big hand very comfortably and doesn't want to twist when chopping.

Blade has a nice dull sheen that i really like. Sharpens well. For kitchen chores, cutting rope, butchering, feather sticks.

A good hard use knife based on horace kepharts design. Nice spear point for detailed work. Full flat grind for excellent performance for moderate camp tasks.

Cons

Very unimpressive. Cant even cut cardboard as well as a small cheap folder. Turns out this blade is made of some very weak metal.

First off i own several other ontario knives and love the quality and affordability you get from them

All in all a very good knife at a very good price

Packaging/appearance

The knife arrived on time and was pretty sharp right out of the box

After opening the boxit was love at first sight

Bought the black version because i like the black gray scales and black sheath spent an hour or so stripping of the black blade coating

It is a full thickness tang knife the whole way through the micarta handles

Competitiveness

I just bought a kydex one for it and its everything i wanted

I have since ordered a custom leathercraft sheath and will keep the original one as a backup

Yes the stainless blade stripped of coating will make sparks from a firestick

Im not going to spend more than the cost of this knife for a custom
