Pros & Cons
Pros
The onyx z5 is a great paddle for the beginner transitioning into intermediate level pickleball play. Whether you prefer a lightweight for quicker maneuvers or a slightly heavier one for power shots, onyx likely has a variant to suit your style.
This z5 paddle performs as advertised. Nice durable paddle. Extremely satisfied with my purchase.
Cons
Z5 is too thin, too light, and is “poppy”. There are better beginner rackets and companies like valtic and six zero are making awesome top tier rackets for not much more money. Skills that are that are extremely difficult with this racket.
This paddle is wastly overrated. Just past the cutoff to send back. It's a shame it didn't hold up.
This was listed as used in good condition. I bought mine a local brick+mortar store in april 2022, it is the very square font z5, so presume it is not the most current model.
