This book is fast paced and worth the read for its laughoutloud funniness but it should be noted that evanovich’s practice of ending many paragraphs with lighthearted and irreverent hilarity is somewhat alarmingly juxta positioned with several references to criminal sexual perversion and very violent acts toward women

In the jimmy alpha manager character it also makes it clear that greed and personal ambition take precedence over personal responsibility as he openly acts contrite to stephanie about ramirez’s “disrespect” of women while covering up several rapes committed by him ramirez

These books remain hysterical but there are definitely some descriptions and dialogue moments that simply couldn’t be written today without offending people
