A truly fascinating, and dare i say uncomfortable, look into almost all aspects of killing. Despite the pretty grim title, the book is really about living. It is ambitious in its design and generally succeeds in meeting the authors goals.

Most of it is pseudoscientific bunk. This garbage is opinion based on unverified sources. This is not my opinion, it is that of a majority of historians and anthropologist who study these things.

He makes the logical jump from bogus research that man has some inherent quality that makes him reticent to kill other men. When he states outright that vietnam was a justified war, blathering on about containment, etc.

    It had a colonel that talked about civil war muzzle loaders found full of bullets cause they never fired just kept reloading
