I have two other receivers i wanted to use but they were too deep to fit on the shelves

I bought special right angle power cords and highend short jack rca cables for the denon receiver and the yamaha cd changer so that i could position the components closer to the wall and as far back on the shelves as practicalso they would not be resting on the front edge of the glass shelves

I realize some people might opt for a sonos wifi sound system with mediocre wireless speakers which can be installed recessed in the wall or ceiling
