Pros
A huge improvement over the older model. The provided wrench works fine if the canister is not over-torqued. The seal/o-ring works great with very little torque.
The clear cartridge canister is well worth it. Required minor piping mods but well worth it. It filters out much of the socal water stuff that the aquarium fish and humans don't like.
The unit seems to work as advertised. Works well. Easy to install. Overall, a good purchase.
Cons
If it failes the second time around i'm done, l'll return it all and reconfigure the water lines for a different filter. What a hassle and a delay in my project. Unless i just happened to get a really horrible defective unit - this product is terrible... Read More

The item arrived quickly and was packed very well

Came with all the fittings was easy to install and works the way it should
Competitiveness
The updated design makes it very easy to change the filter as opposed to the older omni model
The filter cartridge is easy to change and the filter design and materials are of much better quality than competing products
This was a replacement for a much older model by same manufacturer
Hopefully this one lasts longer without leaking or i will look to change brandstypes

I called omni before my purchase to check for the correct size since they did not have the original filter listed
