Distiller comes with glass carafe and replaceable charcoal filter. I love that it is mainly stainless steel & the carafe is glass.

Just a bit of white vinegar and a scrubby pad, rinse it out, and ready to go again. When we boil the resulting water in a teakettle there is no residue at all. It cleans the distiller really well.

The wiring on this model is much sounder than the others. The connections feel more positive and secure. It's a worthy investment that pays for itself over the long run.

Distilling water is intrinsically an energy intensive process, and the distiller will put out a great deal of heat. The amount of residue from the distillation process varies depending on the quality of your water.

The machine is less than 4 months old, cost $137 and is nothing but garbage now. The parts are of low quality compared to other distillers i've had that lasted many years. I hope this review saves others from wasting their dollars like i did.
