Pros
The combination of the rod and reel is ultralite. The cork, reel seat, snake guides and blank are all basic but fully functional. This assembles easily and casts like a dream. Reel seat looks nice.

Seems to load well. The rod loads well and is a joy to use.
Can not complain.
Just got back from my first outing with the slv 6wt rod. Bought the 5-6 wt rod, loved it so much bought the 3wt and 9 wt too. Got the 4wt 8. Croix imperial 4wt as my primary rod.
Cons
Okuma slv-8-96-4 comes only with a cloth case. No handle/base t attach a reel.

Pole is awesome box was damaged in shipping panicked me a bit but all was well
The action is medium fast a tad on the fast side

Many 34 lb bass on both the 6 and 3wt rods a few 10 lb steelhead on the 9wt
Was my go to rod for medium and large rivers a medium action

Action feels good while practicecasting in the backyard but definitely the lower end of a a 3weight dont expect as i did to upload to a 4weight line and see it belt out an extra 5 yards on the cast it wont

Only down side was a bent tip ring on arrival but you get the impression that was due to sloppy courier handling rather than poor qc at the manufacturing stage
