Pros
The rockaway never fails me railing in this monster striped bass. It’s now my favorite pole for striped bass fishing. Great at casting 1-3 ounce lures. My first surf rod and used it the first time for some surf perch.
They are lightweight and very sensitive. Strong enough for striper fishing. Great for pompano fishing.
Great combo. I love it and so does anyone who ever picks it up. Pretty impressive & happy with it.
Cons
Chunked up handle and damaged eyelet inserts. The epoxy was also cracked on another eye. My $70 rod holds better than this one.

This is my first true surf casting rod by okuma and i really like the quality
Made in china but the quality seems very good so farwill update if i can once i it use it more
It was a tug of war but this pole with the size compare to my other thicker pole battle it off with the fish no problem
With the 902m i should be able to throw most of the hard baits i prefer with one rod as its rated at a 12 to 1 12 ounce lure weight
Shipping
I would highly recommend the rod but until amazon improves their shipping i strongly recommend buying it from anyone except amazon
Okuma didnt charge me anything not even shipping
Might have to pay for shipping but thats better than the options i had
Packaging/appearance
I wanted to visit the packaging of these rods again
The packaging had something to be desired it had been bent
Competitiveness
Used a 2oz weight with braid and i was able to launch it out there
Coupled with a diawa ss2600 tournament reel with berkley nanofil line nothing outcasts it

I got the ras1002mh which is the twopiece tenfoot spinning rod rated at 1225lb line and 14oz casting weight

A word of caution and consternationits shipped loose in a plastic bag flopping around within an oversized cardboard box and not supported or cushioned in any way

My 902m arrived in an 8foot x 6 inch box with virtually no suppoting packing materials

These rods have a fairly rugged matt finish and that helps prevent cosmetic scratches a little but well this just is not a smart way to send a fishing rod across the country folks

Just know you are taking a chance ordering a rod from them and dont be too surprised when you get yours and its flopping around in a monstrously long hollow box the two halves banging against eachother over and over
