I own two of these reels the earlier packaging came with an extra spool but the later version did not

I have no complaints about mine but i have not used it long enough to report on its longivity

I put this reel on my 7ft rod and go freshwater fishing and then i put it on my 9ft and 10ft rods and go surf fishing
