It does leak and i have in mind to just go ahead and weld the seams but i dont feel like i absolutely must

You can tell its not custom built and i broke off the little firebox damper door prong already but since im welding the fire box ill just fix it at that time

Maybe i got lucky there’s a few extremely minor leaks but they don’t seem to impact temp control flavor or cook quality at all keep in mind how small of a leak it takes to let smoke out

Sure you can throw a bunch of sealants and gaskets on it and make it look like it was your first try building something

We did order and install full gasketing smoker box and fire box lid clips and comprehensively rtv sealed the entire unit as we assembled it
