Pros & Cons
Pros
Great at what they are designed to keep your road or cyclocross bike wheel side down in icy or hardpack conditions. Some days, the roads have 6 inches of new snow topping an inch of uneven ice. Been using these to commute through some snowy muck for t... Read More
These are the best tires for riding in snow and ice with my 2008 trek soho. These are as sure-footed as a goat on black ice. Fresh snow is pretty easy-snow-over-ice is easy-walked-in/biked-in snow is rough.
They are narrow so they have less road resistance than many other winter tires. Rolling resistance is higher than summer tires, but any winter studded tire will be.
The tires are, as advertised, 700 x 32. At 700x32, their width is at the extreme high end of what should be put on a road rim. Both bikes have standard width road rims.
Highlights
Quality
The interior width on my rims is 14mm and ive had no trouble with the nokians at full pressure
Updateafter 2 solid weeks of snow and ice commuting every day im am more pleased with these
These are not good tires for the rider who wants to be able to ride in any conditions anytime
I usually run 700x40ish tires so the weight difference isnt terrible for me on a straight go
Shipping
Thank you amazon and nokian for stocking these tires and for shipping to apo mailboxes
Competitiveness
As far as i know these are the narrowest studded tires on the market

Even 34s are insufficient for that if you can fit them always get the widest you can fit
