This partially compensates for the fixed focus almost all borescopes have fixed focus by allowing you to keep the scope at a good distance for focus yet still see a closeup picture

This is a quantum leap over my old usb borescope which used my laptop as a display was 8mm wide less than half as long had no digital zoom and poor focal range
