Pros

A breeze to retract. When extended all you have to do is press the two sliding * toward the bottom to automatically retract. Extending is even easier, just lift up on the top rung and push it up.

For a home diyr this is perfect. It isn't 17' but it sure is a lot lighter. It can also convert to a step ladder as well as various angles. Bought for use with my rv.

Cons

Won't accept my return because it's been used, and wont remedy anything. I have email the customer support asking for a refund. Just be ware of this potential issue before purchasing.

The hydraulics all of a sudden start to not work. Worked as described for a couple months then stopped closing. It was delivered on the 5th of april, and failed today.

The top 5' of the ladder introduces such instability that you need 2 people holding the ladder to ensure stability when dismounting or mounting. Stopped collapsing on last rung after 2 months. It has zero grip for hardwood floors.
