Pros
The plastic lids fit snugly in the bowls. The lid is a nice, snug fit. The cover fits well and is sturdy.
The bottom is a little flatter than other mixing bowls we have. Perfect for salad or popcorn. Great for mixing bread dough and it's plastic lid seals for the dough to rise.
The quality of this bowl is unmatched. The lid is also very durable. The bowl comes in two lt and lt.
Cons
The quality of the stainless is terrible. Attempting to clean it up with bar keepers friend only succeeded in discoloring the metal. They rust inside after only a small amount of use.

So the cover might keep bugs or flies out and might slow down the contents drying out it sure isnt any sort of a snug fit
