Pros & Cons
Pros
The smell is great and goes away quickly. I really like that it is unscented. Only complaint is that the scent is a little stronger - i have allergies & bronchitis.
Family care bug spray comes in 6. Does help to keep mosquitos away.
Not greasy or oily. I’m a biochemist and thus a little paranoid about what chemicals go on my skin. This is the first one i found that dried well and isn’t greasy.
Off family care uses picaridin to repel mosquitoes. This year our yard in polluted with gnats that follow you around and pester you until you run back inside. Overall, this is a decent alternative to deet.
Cons
Tried it once. Would not recommend for anyone with asthma or sensitive respiratory tract. It's just isn't strong enough to keep them away. I will have to stick with the deet.

Competitiveness
I looked into lab tests for this and it is just as good as deet on ticks and mosquito and apparently shows better lab results for flies
While it’s not quite as effective as its sister deepwoods this is a good repellent
Overall the picaridin is a decent alternative to deet for those worried about the safety of the chemicals
As far as effectiveness this works but not nearly as well as repellent with deet
