Pros & Cons
Pros
Great product. Reasonably priced. Perfect match for my new dolby atmos ceiling speakers. Great alternative to buying overpriced covers/enclosures for speakers.
The retaining clips fit perfectly over my 8 in-ceiling speakers. They have a sewn-in steel band that holds its circular shape. The opening is wide but designed to stay open, as the lining is lined with wire.
Cons
This 'cover' can't be fixed to a ceiling and has no space for the wire.

This cover is very easy to use and works well with the blown in insulation since this type is not heavy and doesnt crushed the cover
If you time it with the removal of your speaker cut out you should be able to shield yourself from the insulation and reduce the mess
I used a staple gun to secure them to the sheetrock around the speaker then covered them with the blown in insulation
Packaging/appearance
I was linked to this item from a forum somewhere out on the interwebs and purchased for my 6
I made ¼inch plywood boards to mount the 8inch speakers with a wire cage to support the hat
Upon removal from the packaging i discovered that this is not the case but rather the cover is a fixed width of 14
Competitiveness
So its much more useful than a speaker cover

In my case the spring ring which shapes the cover opening will actually hits the joist on either side so it helps in that aspect but it isnt a perfect seal

Without a long explanation i wanted a very light flexible nylon dustcover behind the speaker so when the speaker was exercising the cover couldwould actually move to prevent change in the air pressure behind the speaker if the rear cover was hard pressure would change that slight change will affect the low end performance of the speaker thus make good speakers mediocre
