In case there are generic parts sold under this item my review is for a goldbrass colored version that may have been an oe part but didnt have toyota stickersnumbers on it i could see

One thing to keep in mind is that the spring is much stiffer than the wornout original latch so it will take a few hood openclose cycles to get it loosened up

The hood latch had stopped working and the auto shop wanted way too much money to replace the latch and hood cable
