Pros & Cons
Pros
The octogun is my new go-to tool for any caulking job. The caulk comes out very consistently and it has a drip free feature that keeps it from overflowing. The internal mechanisms also make it drip-free when applying latex or silicone.
This is a great caulk tool with everything you need except the caulk. The integrated tooling square is brilliant for getting a smooth finish. The scraper/smoother is a nice addition for achieving a clean finish. It also has a tip cutter and poker.

Nice quality gun with some nift tools that do come in handy
In conclusion the newborn octogun model 208d is a solid caulk gun with the added bonus of integrated tools
It felt like the metal clip wasnt getting a great connection with the rod to build up an even pressure for a steady flow

The finishing tool while softer and more pliable for smoothing has a tendency to pop off which could be a potential downside if you rely on it and are prone to misplacing tools
