Pros

The boot hugs the foot and ankle very well. I have very hot sweaty feet but even in the mid summer humidity of the east i dont have a problem with my feet getting overly hot or sweaty. Toe box may be a little large for my feet, so i wear 2 pairs of so...  Read More

Good tread, solid make. The tread, traction and water tightness are great. They seem very comfortable but again i haven't hiked or worn them for any amount of time.

These are incredibly comfortable and durable. The only downside is they dont look the greatest but its functionality over aesthetics.

Waterproof in most situations (if you walk through deep snow expect to get your feet damp) only took about 4 days to break them in. Wash with a bunch of towels then dry them with a boot dryer.

Fit is spot on with sizing. I'm hard to please and hard to fit, these guys fit after using the fit ment guide and measuring my foot with weight on it. I ee ee and purchased the 11 since they did not come in wide widths, the 11s are perfect.

Cons

The insole is hard and the arch support hit my foot too far to the rear causing considerable pain. Oboz pretends to be an american company but makes everything in asia. B-dry system = b-wet. The defect means i won't be giving them my money again.

Quality

Nice shoe seems like its quality made hope to get at least 34 years of hiking out of them if not i will follow up on this review

Light enough for day hikes and sturdy enough for the long treks

They break in almost instantly and really lock the heel in place

They finally started to fall apart last month

Price

Great price on a great hiking boot that requires very little break in time

I tried on every boot at our local ll bean store and the only ones comfortable were a pair for 200

Price is reasonable if this last several years

A bit expensive but the quality is there

Shipping

I received these boots about a week ago and havent really tested them for any amount of time

Packaging/appearance

The near ortho insert makes these boots the near perfect package

Competitiveness

I recommend oboz over any other major brand and these particular boots will be an excellent purchases

Oboz is no longer an unknown brand and has become a favorite

Insoles are similar to protalus planter facia insoles i pay 89

But the feel and flexibility with my obozs now beats the competition
