I purchased this product on sale direct through amazon for 14 largely because it was less expensive than the official wii cables and because of the large number of predominately positive reviews

Some of the reviewers have given lukewarm reviews and thats understandable if you expect your wii is going to give you 720p or 1080p

I have a large lcd hd tv so this review is based on that its probably not worth it if youre using an older crt box type tv

Yes in the fact that they increase resolution yes even though both of their ypixels is 480 480i vs 480p 480p has 853 pixels in the xcoordinate and 480i has 640

This is a must buy if you have nintendo wii it made legend of zelda skyward sword look 5 times better

To me it helps a little bit but definitely not worth buying the one from nintendo
