In fact i painted a layer of clear top coat right before i applied the foil to each nail and sealed the foil with another two layers of top coat after so that the edges wouldnt stick out

Have you be careful while placing the foil too much pressure and it can cause it to look real ugly

I really like these i really only bought this for the gold foil and when i opened the bag all i saw was silver foil but realized some were gold so i tried it out on one nail and yes it was the gold foil and its great its just not as gold as in the picture when you see it in person but it does show up in photos very gold

Anyway you go you can decide where to put the foil peices instead of trying to get the polish ones to go where you need it
