Nutracost organic turmeric powder is certified usda organic, non-gmo and gluten-free. Turmeric looks and smells fresh and delicious. We use is in our tofu scrambles -- both for color and for the warmth and flavor that turmeric add to one's cuisine.

The smell is fresh and the flavor is good. It is on the more powerful side of fragrance. When you open the jar, it smells just as it should. It's a beautiful orange and very fresh.

The container's lid is a screw-on lid, which makes me worry less if i do drop it. I am use to ziplock packaging but at times they can be trouble. I will plan to reuse this container to store the bagged turmeric.

This is a great value and i would recommend it. If i would compare this turmeric to what i have on hand, it is slightly stronger.

Cons

We tried every tool, none are large enough for this oversized blue lid. The website says no returns. I hope the seller would look into it.
