    Only reason i took a star off is because the baseplate feels a tad cheap and the very top of the handle isnt quite flush with the headbody

    The unit appears to be made of all metal with the only exceptions being the tightening knobs and handle which are plastic

    Its not a super heavyduty head but it works just fine for my infrequent video needs on my dslrs

    While the overall construction of the ball head is very solid mostly metal i noticed that the panning seems to not be as smooth as the tilting feature

    In addition if you are not using a dedicated photo tripod the ball head will not attach to your tripod without a 1420 to 3816 adapter which is not provided
