No amount of stepping created numbers on the screen which remained persistently at 0. I believe at least it uses a magnet to communicate movement into steps.

Every 3 or 4 uses we have to oil it so maybe get some oil with this product
But overall i rate the product at 99 out of 100 which is high as i am an old man who complains about everything

The negatives are as follows 1 no instruction leaflet as to how to replace the battery

One of the foot pedal stoppers fell off and theres no way of screwing it back in without dismantling the whole thing which is annoying
