    There is a snow depth however where they start to loose traction and it feels like you are skiing your bike without edges

    I rode my 29er home from work on a sidewalk that was a high traffic area by a college the snow had meltedto slush and refrozen with massive ruts footprints and pretty much 3 inches of really rough textured ice
