Vibration is the last thing i want to introduce to my 3d printer. Works great with a simple 24v to 12v step-down converter.

Yes its not the highest volume fan for a 4040 but im using it on my mk8 3d printer for the hotend cooling and have had zero issues
But i was a bit disappointed at the fans modest air flow hence the 4 rating
Price
I have tried other fans on the market and this is the best quietest one i have found yet and the price is not to bad either
Competitiveness
I have these fans setup on my wanhao duplicator i3 and my creality cr10s
Excellent fan got four stars only because a competing fan comes with more interfacing hardware in the box
Let me start by saying that this is easily a fivestar fan if you are going to use it in a traditional pc build

I am only dinging it one star because the netted sheathing around the rather long connector wires with aggressive heat shrink on both ends made it very difficult to cleanly shorten and wire into my project as a 3d printer extruder cooling fan

Its clearly not designed to be repurposed in this way so if your application is to plugandplay this fan into your computer or other electronics build using the provided jst connector again easily five stars

It is super quiet and it move enough air that it’s getting the job done but the fan i took out moves 2 or 3 times more air then this quieter fan
